Kevin O'Connor is one of the founders of owR and has been with the firm since its inception in 1990. Mr. O'Connor is the managing partner of owR's New York City office. He is currently serving as the president of the New York Chapter Society of Financial Service Professionals and is the immediate past president of The New York Center for Financial Studies.

Mr. O'Connor entered the life insurance business in 1962, and by 1969 he was a manager for a career agency of New England Mutual Life. In 1975 he left management to work as an independent advanced underwriting consultant on a joint work basis, sharing commissions with other agents on their more difficult sales.

He is past president of the Suffolk Life Underwriters Association and the Long Island Chapter of the American Society of Chartered Life Underwriters. He has been an instructor for the Life Underwriters Training Council and The American Society of Pension Actuaries.

Kevin has lectured extensively on advanced insurance and employee benefit planning topics at The American Management Association, The American Law Institute, University of Texas Law School, Colby College, Fordham and Adelphi Universities, as well as numerous life insurance and financial planning groups.

Fred Wertlieb is the managing partner of owR's administrative office located in Oakland NJ. He was Co-Chairman of the New York Chapter Society of Financial Service Professionals' Journal Discussion Group.  He is a member of the Board of Trustees of The Foundation for Philanthropy, Inc., a member of the New York, North Jersey and Bergen County Estate Planning Councils, and an associate member of AALU, the Association of Advanced Life Underwriters.

Mr. Wertlieb was the President and Founder of Financial Care Inc.  "FCI", a New Jersey corporation specializing in Charitable Trust administration which he sold to Santa Fe Trust, a New Mexico trust company.  He served on Santa Fe Trust's Board for a number of years both as a Member and ultimately as Chairman.  Prior to creating "FCI", he was President and Director of Integrated Resources Philanthropic Financial Services, a division of Integrated Resources specializing in Charitable Financial Planning.

In the late 70's Fred was known in the trade as "Mr. Keypact", as he was one of the early marketers of computer assisted selling systems.

He holds a Master of Financial Services degree from the American College. He was a founding board member of the New York Chapter of the IAFP where he served for 6 years. He has been quoted in "Forbes", "The Financial Planner", "The National Underwriter" and "The Chronicles of Philanthropy". He is a published author, having written a number of articles on tax planning ideas, two of which were published in the journal of the Financial Services Professionals.

Richard Slamowitz is a principal of owR Opinion, LLC., an independent life insurance and long term care brokerage agency representing more than 30 companies, with offices in New York City, Westchester, New Jersey, and Philadelphia.

Mr. Slamowitz has more than 30 years of life insurance experience in both home office and field positions. He is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo, Temple University Law School, and New York University Law School where he received his LLM in Taxation.

Richard has served as Chairman of the Commissioner's Advisory Board on Life and Health Insurance in New Jersey. He is a past President of the North Jersey Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals and has served as editor of Retirement Counseling News and Views, a publication of the SFSP. He has written numerous articles on estate planning and life insurance for industry publications. He has also lectured on estate, business, and life insurance planning around the country to both agent groups and consumers.

Richard began his career in 1978 as an advanced underwriting attorney with New York Life. From 1984-1986 he was an attorney in private practice in Manhattan specializing in the area of estate planning and administration. He joined the executive benefit firm of Tandem Benefit Group as in-house attorney in 1986. In 1990 he joined Prudential Select Brokerage, starting as an advanced sales attorney and moving into sales in 1993 as Regional Brokerage Director, where he was responsible for wholesaling Prudential products to independent life producers as well as securities firms in New Jersey. In 1995 he won the President's Trophy for leading Prudential in brokerage production. He joined owR Opinion in December 1996.

Les VonLosberg is the Managing Partner of owR's Northern Westchester, NY office.

Les has over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry. He is the former Vice President of Marketing for Washington National Life and Columbia Mutual Life; First Vice President, Advanced Sales and Marketing for Presidential Life; and Senior Vice President of WNNY Corp., a full service pension administration firm.

For more than 10 years, he served as a Board Member of both New York City Chapter, Society of Financial Service Professionals and the New York Center for Financial Studies.

He is a former Dean and Instructor for the Heubner School of the New York Center for Financial Studies and a participant in the American College's Professional Achievement in Continuing Education program.

Les is an author and instructor of more than a dozen New York State-approved continuing education courses through the New York Center for Financial Studies. In addition, he is the author of numerous in-house publications and newspaper articles on insurance and financial planning topics.

He is a member of the New York City Estate Planning Council and holds his CLU and ChFC designations.

Drew joined owR Opinion, L.L.C. in 2010 as the Managing Partner of the CT Sales Office in Simsbury, CT. Drew has been in the insurance industry for over 21 years, and holds Series 6 and Series 63 licenses.

Drew started his insurance career as an Underwriter for Aetna in 1989. During his 9 years with Aetna, he also held positions as Brokerage Underwriter, Director of Underwriting, and ultimately, Vice President of Sales.

From 1998 to 2001 Drew was Vice President of Sales for Travelers Life Insurance Company. He was responsible for all life production with Smith Barney for the eastern half of the United States.

In 2001 Drew forged into the brokerage side of the life insurance business as a Point of Sale Specialist for Financial Advisors within the institutional arena primarily in CT and MA. Joining forces with owR in 2010 has enhanced Drew's back office processing, allowing him to focus on maintaining and fostering relationships with Financial Advisors.

Drew resides in Connecticut with his wife and two daughters.

Bruce Tepfer is the Director of Long Term Care for owR in NY, and is owR's Disability Insurance Specialist.

Mr. Tepfer has been in the insurance business for 25 years. Prior to joining owR, he spent 24 years with Unum as an Executive Benefits Representative. He specialized in disability and long term care insurance on both an individual and multilife basis.

Bruce earned his CLU in 1993. He is a member of the Society of Financial Services Professionals, and serves as the membership Vice President.
