Fred Wertlieb is a managing partner of OWR, located in Mahwah, NJ. Throughout his career, he has been involved in various societies, groups, and charitable boards such as:
- Co-Chairman of the New York Chapter Society of Financial Service Professionals’ Journal Discussion Group
- A member of the Board of Trustees of The Foundation for Philanthropy, Inc.
- A member of the New York, North Jersey and Bergen County Estate Planning Councils
- An associate member of AALU, the Association of Advanced Life Underwriters
Fred was President and Founder of Financial Care Inc. “FCI”, a New Jersey corporation specializing in Charitable Trust administration which he sold to Santa Fe Trust, a New Mexico trust company. Later, he served on Santa Fe Trust’s Board for several years both as a Member and ultimately as Chairman.
Prior to creating “FCI”, he was President and Director of Integrated Resources Philanthropic Financial Services, a division of Integrated Resources specializing in Charitable Financial Planning.
In the late 70’s, Fred was known in the trade as “Mr. Keypact”, as he was one of the early marketers of computer assisted selling systems. He holds a Master of Financial Services degree from American College and was founding board member of the New York Chapter of the FPA where he served for 6 years.
Fred has been quoted in “Forbes”, “The Financial Planner”, “The National Underwriter” and “The Chronicles of Philanthropy”. Fred is also a published author, having written several articles on tax planning ideas, two of which were published in the journal of the Financial Services Professionals.
Fred lives in New Jersey with his wife June and loves spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoys annual trips to Aruba, and spending time at his house in the Berkshire Mountains in Massachusetts.
